Foam

POLYETHYLENE FOAM (ETHA)

The majority of our cases are designed with etha foam interiors. Etha foam is produced specifically as a packaging material and is available in a wide range of densities (from 1 lb to 9 lb). This allows us to manufacture interiors to specific product weights. Lightweight electronic equipment can be safely packaged using 2 lb. etha foam while heavier articles may require the use of 4 lb, 6 lb, or even 9 lb foam. Etha foam provides excellent shock and vibration isolation, resists compressive creep, and machines easily.

POLYURETHANE FOAMS

Polyester (Ester) and polyether (Ether) are other foams that are commonly used for packaging. Polyurethane foams are less dense (softer) and are suitable to gently contain fragile equipment. It is often used in conjunction with etha foam in cushion design. Of the two polyurethane foams, we recommend ester foam over ether in our case designs. Ester is much more resilient and provides better long-term performance than ether foam.

THE INTERIOR OF THE CASE IS WHAT PROTECTS YOUR PRODUCT FROM DAMAGE.

THE CASE EXTERIOR IS BUILT TO PROTECT THE INTERIOR.

Antistatic

Antistatic foam is also available for static-sensitive applications

Die Cut Foam

Die cut or water-jet cut foam inserts are a professional looking, economical answer for large volume applications.
